30 minute light aircraft trial flight

This is an excellent way to get a taste of piloting a light aircraft.

Your trial lesson begins with a briefing from your instructor, who will explain how the aircrafts controls work and what to expect during the flight. You will then be made comfortable inside the aircraft where your instructor will explain the aircrafts instruments and systems.

Once the engine is started it's a short taxi to the hold. You will run through the pre takeoff checks and will line up on Old Sarum’s grass runway. The instructor will perform the takeoff, explain each stage and soon you will be climbing away leaving the Medieval City of Salisbury below.

Then it's your turn to take the controls. You will be able to try straight and level, turning, climbing and descending above the Wiltshire countryside. On the return trip to Old Sarum you will again have spectacular views of the city and the Cathedral as you make your approach and landing.

If you go on to obtain your Private Pilots Licence, the experience garnered in the trial flight, counts towards your qualification.
